Native North American Bird Art Featured

For the month of February, the Klamath Art Association and Gallery will host its annual invitational exhibition “In Celebration of Birds,” in conjunction with the Winter Wings Festival. Artists and photographers from all over the region are invited to submit up to two of their images (with size limits) of native North American birds. Participants do not have to be a member of the gallery. Paintings, drawings, sculptures, crafts, and photographs of  feathered friends are all welcome. Work is due to be delivered in person at the gallery on Thursday, January 30, from 2 to 5:30 pm. The Klamath Art Gallery has detailed entrance requirements in order to insure that everyone has enough space to exhibit their work. Non-members will need to pay an entrance fee of $4.00 per work to cover expenses. Please refer to the gallery’s group exhibit policies at this link:

The show will open with a public reception for the artists on Sunday, February 2nd from noon to 4 pm. People’s Choice “Best of Show” awards will be awarded for art, photography, and three-dimensional works based on votes from people attending the reception. The exhibit will continue through Sunday, February 23rd.

The Klamath Art Gallery is located at 120 Riverside Drive at the south end of the Link River Birding Trail. The gallery is open Thursdays through Sundays, 12-4 pm. Admission is always free! For more information phone the gallery at 541-883-1833 or visit the KAA website at
