Donna Hooker

Artist

Born and raised in San Francisco, California and now living in Bonanza, Oregon, Donna is a self taught artist who has been painting for over 20 years. Inspired by the "Beauty of Nature", her passion is painting on items of nature such as leaves, feathers,old barnwood, and other natural materials. Her subjects are waterfowl, wildlife, african wildlife, and backyard birds. She also does custom work, such as pets, horses, and other subjects of nature.

Donna's main medium is acrylic paint. she also incorporates real flowers in some of her leaf paintings and uses handmade paper as backgrounds for many paintings. all paintings are framed and matted prior to sale.

Donna is a member of the klamath art association in Klamath Falls, Oregon. she is currently studying under renowned local artist, Barbara Lund, who travels to Africa and specializes in African nature art.
