The special pre/post festival trips are not available on Regonline. Sign-up for these trips by calling Val Paulson at 541-884-4208 starting November 20th to make a room reservation and she will tell you where to mail your payment.

S2 Into the Woods [NEW]

4:00 pm Sunday- 12:30 pm Monday, Self-drive to Crystalwood Lodge, 38625 Westside Rd, Klamath Falls
The Crystalwood Lodge motto:”Bucket list memories for a lifetime”, is the goal of this exciting new overnight adventure! Arrive on your own at Crystalwood Lodge https://www.craterlakelodgingatcrystalwoodlodge.com/ on Westside Road north of Klamath Falls on Sunday around 4 pm. You will be greeted by owner Liz Parrish and shown to your 2-3 person shared room. Your leader Damian Fagan will start the evening with a presentation on Oregon owls. After a delicious catered dinner you will explore the grounds of the Lodge looking and listening for resident owl species. Monday begins with a hearty breakfast followed by either a snowshoe birding excursion (snow permitting) or fee-based sled dog/cart rides on grounds. Then take off on a bus tour of the local birdiest hotspots returning to the Lodge around 12:30 pm. Lunch included.
Fee: $120 (does not include dog sled/dog cart option)

Special Instructions: Bring your own beverages for the evening presentation and meal. Be sure to let us know if you have any dietary restrictions. Wear layers of clothing appropriate for after dark and morning walking and bring boots that can be used with snowshoes. Flashlights or headlamps recommended. Food and lodging costs included in reg fee. Must be willing to share room with member of same sex or specify if you are a couple. View rooms on Lodge’s website. Owner Liz Parrish charges $150 for 2 hour sled or 1 hour dog cart rides on the Lodge grounds.

The bus portion of this trip on the second day will visit some of the same areas as the North Basin Winter Tour on Sunday.
