2014

The weather put a damper on the overall diversity of birds seen in 2014 — 117 species, but we still had wonderful times in the field and the birds impressed nonetheless. Check out the bird sightings summary.

2013

The results are in! We once again shattered the record for the number of species seen during the festival, adding ten species to the 2012 total — 132 species! Check out the bird sightings summary.

2012

Below is a map showing where folks came from to attend the festival in 2012 (Feb 17-19). About 680 people attended, more than ever in the festival’s history! Folks came from all over the west and as far away as New York, Vermont and Massachusetts. We broke the record for the number of species seen during the festival — 122 species! 2011

A map showing where folks came from to attend the 2011 festival. The cities and towns are pinned and the descriptions indicate the number of folks from that location. The festival has become quite a draw, attracting folks from all over the west and as far away as Vermont and Alberta, Canada! More than 500 people attended the festival in 2011 (Feb 18-20).
