Dave Mauser
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
Dave Mauser is currently lead wildlife biologist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at the Klamath Basin National Wildife Refuges, a position he has held for the last 14 years. Dave is responsible for the biological program on the Refuge Complex, including all wildlife inventory, monitoring and habitat management activities.
Prior to coming to the Klamath Basin, Dave held waterfowl management and/or research related positions with several Federal and State agencies in California, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and Missouri. He recieved his B.S. from Humboldt State University, M.S. from University of Wisconsin, and Ph.D. from Oregon State University. Dave believes that the diversity of wetland wildlife, the variety of habitats, and the conservation challenges facing the Klamath Basin make it one of the most unique and rewarding areas to work in the country.
