F11 Beginning Birding

Saturday 9:00 am - Noon
Meet at College Union Mt. McLoughlin Room
Carpool field trip follows classroom orientation.

If you enjoy seeing birds in your backyard and want to learn how to identify them, or if you've been looking for a new nature-oriented hobby, this is the class for you. We'll begin with a presentation that introduces the major groups of birds and explains how to use field marks to identify common birds of the Klamath Basin. Then we'll carpool to nearby hotspots to put our new skills to work with local expert Karl Wenner, including a visit to a private waterfront home with stellar views of bird life on and around Upper Klamath Lake.

Fee: $15
