R2 - Aerie Afternoon
Saturday
3:15-6:00 pm. Meet at OIT College Union Auditorium Lobby.
One of the most popular events of the festival! Join local experts for an afternoon visit to Bear Valley National Wildlife Refuge. From the comfort of a private home, watch Bald Eagles return overhead to their night roost in the refuge while enjoying local microbrews and wine and sampling regional culinary delights. Retired Klamath Basin Refuge biologist Jim Hainline will provide a presentation about Bald Eagles and their role in the nearby refuges. You'll also be treated to a falconry demonstration by local falconers Ron Richter and Carol Speegle. This trip will return in time for the evening presentations. Includes a tax-deductible donation of $xx to the Klamath Basin Audubon Society.
