What about transportation?2023-10-11T23:14:19+00:00

The festival provides transportation for field trips unless they are identified as a carpool trip in the event description. Remember to check your registration itinerary for locations. Arrive at the rendezvous point at least 20 minutes early to check in with the leader. Note that parking on the OIT campus may be limited because of other campus activities; allow extra time to find a parking spot and walk to the rendezvous point. For car pool trips, be advised that area roads may have snow or ice so AWD or 4×4 vehicles are recommended for driving in Klamath Falls.

AMTRAK has service south from Portland, Salem, and Eugene and north from San Francisco area and Sacramento on the Coast Starlight. We encourage Audubon chapters to take advantage of group train tour options or form car pools.

Where is the festival located?2023-10-12T23:11:19+00:00

All festival activities take place in the Klamath Basin. The Headquarters of the Festival is at the Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT) Student Union located at 3201 Campus Drive, Klamath Falls (campus map). The Registration Desk is located there. For 2023 we have several events that will begin at sites away from the campus: Running Y Resort Lodge, Best Western Olympic Inn, and the Favell Museum.

Please pay careful attention to meeting place locations and allow time to drive to that location, park, and walk to the meeting place. We do not hold buses or carpools for individuals who are late.
