In Celebration of Birds Invitational Exhibit

Klamath Art Gallery

In February, the Klamath Art Association and Gallery is hosting its annual exhibition," In Celebration of Birds," in conjunction with the Winter Wings Festival. The show will run from Sunday, February 7th through Sunday, February 28th. Visitors can expect to see a large variety of artwork, photography and sculpture depicting native birds. Visitors will also see hand made "designer" birdhouses.

Invitational Exhibit Rules: Anyone may submit up to two framed works of art or photography depicting north American wild birds, not exceeding 24"x28" frame size. Only one panoramic format work will be accepted up to 16"x36" size. Up to two bird houses may be All works must be for sale. All works must have a wire hanger extending all the way across the back of the work. The Klamath Art Gallery reserves to right to refuse to hang any work that does not fit the above guidelines or that is inappropriate for the theme of the exhibit. Inventory forms and entry tags are available at the gallery during regular gallery hours noon to 4 pm Thursdays through Mondays. They are also available via email request (subject line "Forms") by e-mail to . All work must be delivered to the gallery in person on Thursday February 4th from 2 to 6 PM. No late work or incomplete work will be accepted. We cannot accept shipping, nor can we handle return shipping. An entry fee of $5.00 per work will be charged to non-members of the Klamath Art Gallery to cover publicity and ribbon costs.

The public is invited to the opening reception for the artists on Feb. 7th from 12-4 PM. Refreshments will be served. Two People's Choice awards will be selected by the visitor's votes at the reception for the best artwork and the best photograph. The Klamath Art Gallery is located at 120 Riverside Drive, at the South end of the Link River "birding trail." The gallery is open Thursdays through Mondays 12-4 PM.
