Scott Girdner

Scott began studying aquatic environments 20 years ago at Mount Rainier National Park in Washington. Scott has been at Crater Lake National Park as a limnologist (lake biologist) for the past 16 years, where he helps run a long-term monitoring program of Crater Lake, the deepest lake in the U.S. and one of the clearest lakes in the world.

Scott grew up in the Lower Klamath Basin (Yreka, CA) where he gained a life-long appreciation for nature -- lakes and streams in particular. He received his B.S. from Chico State University and his M.S. from Oregon State University (Go Beavers!).
